Moultrie Creek Online Historical Society is a fictional organization. It’s only purpose is to demonstrate how associations such as local historical societies, genealogical societies and family or veteran associations can take advantage of free and low-cost online services to support their membership.
Although the site is managed by Denise Olson whose Family Matters blog offers technology and research support to family historians, MCOHS is a collaborative effort including contributions from a growing group of individuals. We are building a cooperative of contributors and guest authors to provide both technology experts and experienced association site managers offering their commentary on various topics. If you would like to participate in this effort, drop us a note at moultriecreek (at) yahoo (dot) com. We’d love to hear from you!
MCOHS is an interactive site. No one person has all the answers and what works for one group won’t work for another. This site allows - and encourages - comments. If you have a question, an idea or just want to say hello, please feel free to leave a comment anywhere on the site. It’s not unusual for a commenter to add significant value to the original article.
